Ardgay cottage is a lovely comfortable place to stay. It is beautifully clean & well equipped, with everything you can think of. Ardgay is in an ideal place for walking into Fort Augustus, and also for exploring the Scottish Highlands. We had a lovely stay & would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Excellent location (as we don't have a car - regular buses to Inverness and Fort William) with plenty to see and do round about. Cottage very comfortable and in a quiet location and owner very helpful. Would definitely return.

Really fantastic holiday accommodation. Spotlessly clean and well stocked with all sorts of useful things, enjoyed watching the DVDs on a rainy day and a lovely welcome with wine and biscuits. The location is great by the canal and only a short walk to pubs, restaurant, take away and loch ness and boat trips. Plenty of forest walks nearby as well. Also the flat is more spacious than it appears in the photos. Would definetely recommend if you want to stay in the area.

Ardgay is close to the Caledonian Canal, constantly interesting as a stream of boats of all shapes and sizes makes it way through the staircase of locks. Fort Augustus is a good central location for visits to the lochs and glens nearby and the Forestry Commission provides excellent information on walks in the area. We walked part of General Wade's Road, visited Glen Affric, made a trip to Skye and on another day to Cawdor Castle and Fort George. Ardgay was a warm, well equipped comfortable place to return to.

Lovely place. Clean, comfortable and warm. Didn't feel old and saggy like many holiday cottages I've rented. Smashing welcome pack. Pets welcomed and my dog seemed to love it. Central for the whole of the Highlands, within 6 miles you can be heading to all points of the compass. Central to plenty local walks and more strenuous hillwalking. The owners have put a lot of time and effort into this place. I would definitely book again.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in! The apartment is very well maintained, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The whole place just felt lovely and we had everything that we needed and more. All the extra touches were very much appreciated too such as milk in the fridge when we got there, a bottle of wine, tea and coffee, toiletries in the bathroom - we felt very welcome. Fort Augustus is a lovely town to stay in too, there are plenty of shops, it's an ideal base for exploring the highlands and you won't go hungry either!
