Beautiful house. Comfy beds. Rural. Spotlessly clean. Only negative was the state of the dishwasher drawers and the baking trays. Easily rectified. Some cutlery had rust spots. But honestly these really are picky comments. It’s a beautiful place and I’d definitely go back. There didn’t seem to be a welcome hamper either. Other than Prosecco (always welcome haha!)

We had a very comfortable stay in the barn. I would definitely recommend it. The barn has been finished to a high standard and we would stay there again. The only comment is that some of the kitchen items are a little warm and in need to replacing, so have marked down to a 9. If these were replaced I would have given a 10 out of 10.

Lovely location for a short 4 night stay and a very nice cottage! As always its the little things in life that prevent better scores. Welcome pack very miniscule and missing the usual basic essentials that are normally included, like milk! No review book to leave comments/feedback for the owners. Cobwebs in the sky lights which couldn't be opened due to removal of rods - apparently previous occupants had left them opened and the cottage suffered rain damage. External light not sufficient to light up the back garden so that the evenings could be enjoyed outdoors - perhaps a more powerful security light is needed? No hand towels available, not even in the kitchen! Despite these niggles we would still recommend Applebarn and would probably stay again if visiting Somerset.
