A wonderful cottage that we have visited before and will certainly do so again. As well as being well equipped, it has a magnificent view across Gairloch Bay... a view that can change hour by hour, never mind day to day!!

The reason for giving 6 for local amenities is that the time of year we go, which is early March not much is open, everything seems to start at Easter weekend. This suits us as we like it quiet. Next year will be our 11 visit to this property so I think that tells you that we like it very much.

The cottage has some good points, for example, it's in a great location, the views from the cottage are fantastic and the cottage is warm and very well equipped, but it feels a little shabby and tired. There was an unpleasant, stale cooking smell in the kitchen and the kitchen floor was grimy. The arms and head rests of the settee and chairs in the living room had a greasy smell and ground in stains. The hall carpet was strained/discoloured along its entire lenght. Considering its price and description the cottage did not match our expectations.

We stay every year in a cottage and we have never had one that was so well equipped as this. Absolutely fantastic and the beds are the most comfortable ever, that comfortable that I wrote down what sort of matteress it was in the double bedroom as I need to get one. Beautiful cottage, beautiful location, would highly recommend this place

Gairloch is a lovely place to spend a week and Ach-Na-Clachan enjoys stunning views of the area. Very comfortable and cosy. The only thing missing is internet connectivity. While I enjoyed being completely disconnected for a few days, by the middle of the week I would have loved to have been able to share some photos online and keep up to date with what was happening back home. Would have been 10/10 if internet was available.

Great place! Would have been a perfect 10 if there was wifi (no 3G in the area)

Perfect for relaxation and superb views over the sea. A lovely welcome from the owner - wine, roses and fudge much appreciated! Watching dolphins in front of the house was amazing. The lack of wi-fi was an issue for only one member of the family.
