From the car park, go right following the track heading to the jaws of Eigiau. This turns left below the main dam and goes over a bridge across the reservoir's outflow stream.
Go left along the greener track that traces the river's south east banks, ignoring the path on the right beneath Eilio. The gated track passes Coedty Reservoir and leads to a country lane by the dam.
Continue along the lane as it descends to cross the river, then climbs out on to the hillside high above the Conwy Valley.
Turn left at the T-junction to Rowlyn Isaf farm. Follow the quiet country lane back to the car park.
