Memory Cottage is right in the harbour. The views out of the windows are fantastic, it is wonderful to wake up and see the comings and goings of the fishing boats. Mevagissey boasts a fantastic range of cafes and restaurants. Local shops sell all you need but there are big supermarkets just outside St Austell if you need to supermarket shop. Tea on the Quay does great breakfasts, cakes and cream teas with their own coffee. The fisherman’s chippy sells delicious fish and chips and She sells is great for ice cream. The cottage is well equipped (you do need to take your own bath towels) and the beds are very comfortable. The only slight disappointment is the bathroom as the shower is not very powerful and it was chilly when we stayed (April), but other than that we had an amazing time. We prebooked parking just on the edge of the town which saved us having to drive through the very narrow streets each time we wanted to go out. The town has a museum, aquarium and model railway museum which are all worth a visit and the “treasure trails” company do a treasure hunt that takes you around the town. There are costal walks along the costal path right outside your front door and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are walkable from the cottage (if you don’t mind a muddy walk uphill.)

Good clean cottage in superb location. Stay there when we are in Mevagissey. I think this is the third time and it seems to have been redecorated and a new shower fitted.
