Cosy cottage in a very quiet road, 2 minutes walk from friendly Hartland's village amenities, including 3 pubs, local shops and pottery workshops. Nice log burner, and well-equipped kitchen. Pretty courtyard for warmer weather. Nice walks directly from the cottage. We had a lovely New Year's break.

A perfect home from home, lovely cosy cottage. Friendly locals, 3 pubs, 2 shops and a great cafe. Perfect base for walkers, the Hartland coast is beautiful, dramatic and unique, a great holiday.

The onĺy thing I found to be a problem was the height of the bedroom door 😃 I'm 6ft and sometimes forgot to duck ! But it's a nice place and comfortable with pubs close by and 2 shops that sell most of what you need and dog friendly with a nice walk just and the end of the road thru the gate . 👌👍

Shame that this cottage is so run down. Needs a little TLC.

We had an enjoyable 4 nights in Cherry Tree Cottage, and Hartland is a charming village with two good pubs (serving reasonable food). It's also an excellent centre for exploring the local area. However there were some drawbacks. There were many holiday leaflets in the house but they were in rather a muddle and it wasn't immediately obvious that the house folder (giving details of equipment and the local area e.g. important phone numbers, rubbish collection etc.) was among them. If the house folder had been left somewhere obvious (on a table?) we would have found it immediately! Incidentally some of the instructions in the folder were out of date thus causing some confusion. We thought the standard of cleanliness was a bit below what we would expect, especially for a cottage of this price (stains on bedding). Parking was variable and could be very difficult on busy days. Instructions for finding the cottage were out of date and required us to ask a local to direct us.

A lovely well maintained cottage not far from Bude in one direction and Bideford in the other. As advertised does not provide towels but watch out as this also means tea towels! Brilliant woodland walk right outside the door and the local pub has a nice garden and good food. No fish n chip shop in village though :(
