The perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of Dorset, with sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and coastal walks all nearby.

Located in Chideock, between Bridport and West Bay to the east and Lyme Regis to the west, this holiday home is the main part of the owners’ detached house with an adjoining self-contained annexe for the owners use. It is ideally situated for enjoying and exploring west Dorset and the famous scenic World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and has a large, enclosed, lawned garden with a patio overlooking fields and footpaths towards Seatown. Wander over the fields to the coast at Seatown and enjoy some superb scenic coastal walking up to the top of Golden Cap the highest point in the south of England. Lyme Regis offers a great day or two out, with its picturesque harbour, sandy beach and famous Cob, where you can pass the time fossil hunting, boating, fishing, swimming, walking, exploring the quaint character shops, or simply wining and dining. Inland perhaps enjoy a cream tea at the Broadwindsor Craft Centre, or travel further afield to south Somerset and visit historic Forde Abbey and Gardens. There is so much to do you are sure to have a memorable time, and for a stress free holiday. Beach 1 mile. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, ceramic hob, combi microwave/oven/grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and wooden floor.
Bedroom 1: With twin beds.
First Floor:
Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed, 32" Freeview TV and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
Bedroom 3: With double bed with single bunk over.
Bathroom: With roll-top bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included (October-April). Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Large enclosed lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Couples, family bookings and holidaymakers only. There is a step to the patio. This property has a security deposit of £100.

    This is a great house: it’s exceptionally clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. The hosts Sue and Graham are warm, friendly, very welcoming and were always ready to please and help you. Wonderful back garden with gorgeous views and very dog friendly - treats, towels and blankets provided for your pet. Whatever you ask for Sue and Graham are ready to oblige.

    Excellent property, the best we have ever stayed in with excellent, helpful, friendly and obliging hosts. Very dog friendly with secure large garden' This was particularly appreceiated as the garden lounge opened out onto the patio with by folding doors and very hot sunny weather. The facilites could not be improved as everything is provided. Highly recommended Ten plus xxxxx,

    Cottage was great, owners live next door were very helpful and accommodating. Kitchen is well equipped if u like to cook we didn’t need anything extra. Garden fully secure for dogs. Beds were quite uncomfortable for adults more suited for children in twin and bunk room. We were given a choice of bedding which was a welcome suprise. Owners have a welcome pack which included walks of local area and all local info which was really helpful. Overall great property for friends, families

The feedback I have received so far has pointed to the fact that our beds are all extremely comfortable, especially the twin beds on the ground floor, as they are both less than a year old. I’m glad you recognised the triple sleeper room is gear towards children’s use, however the double bed mattress in there is an ortho mattress and only 10 months old so could perhaps have been too firm for the adults in your party using it – mattresses are always so subjective – but we appreciate your feedback and glad that overall, you still enjoyed your holiday here.

    We had a fabulous week in Chideock. Beautiful cottage well equiped high end throughout. Very welcoming owners nothing was too much Dogs enjoyed the garden which is fully enclosed and safe . In a super location very easy to get lots of sightseeing in

    Great location and welcoming and comfortable holiday house. The house is well equipped, it was home from home holiday. Would recommend and come back any time of the year. We came in February and had a great holiday, house is shirt walk from beach, pubs and beautiful countryside.

    Having stayed at many holiday lets before,sue& grahams house was wonderful,sue had left milk,bread,butter,cheese,eggs & biscuts the most we have ever been left. Sue & graham cant do enough for you just say the word and they oblige,the house is lovely big open kitchen,dinning room with two TVs rooms two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Our two dogs loved the large garden which is completely enclosed so very safe. The road out side will take you were ever your days outing will be, on to the main roads,the road is busy but cant be heard in the house, we also like the drying facilites in the garden,l don't like drying cloths in the house, not every place has drying in the garden. Some times we have had to buy things,because they were not available in the kitchen but the house in this case has every thing we wanted.we would stay again but for two weeks next time.10/10

    Lovely house and position. People booking Yew Tree House need to understand it is on the main A35 in Chideock so there is near constant road noise and the turning into the property is awkward.
