Enjoy a cosy woodburning stove and a private hot tub at this 18th-century cottage after a busy day exploring Anglesey’s attractions.

Beamed open-plan living/dining room with wood-burning stove and well-equipped modern fitted kitchen area. Utility with toilet. Beamed double bedroom with 5ft bed, wood-burning stove and en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle and toilet. Twin bedroom.

Known locally as the ‘ink pot’, this detached Welsh holiday cottage is constructed of stone under a slate roof, and dates back to the 1700s. Sympathetically restored, it offers a high standard of accommodation, boasting electric underfloor heating, two cosy wood-burning stoves, exposed beams, and sunny garden with private hot tub and views over fields and woods. Visitors are welcome to roam the 75-acre grounds and there are many interesting days out including rib rides and fishing trips on the Menai Strait, Beaumaris Castle and, of course, Snowdonia National Park. Attractions on Anglesey include stunning beaches, art galleries, and Plas Newydd, cycling and go-karting. The round Anglesey Coastal Path is under 1 mile. Shop 2 miles.

    The cottage is exactly as pictured. Lovely, clean and with all the little touches left for you...dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand washes at every sink. The garden is beautiful and very private. It’s an ideal base for exploring newborough beach, the farm park, sea zoo and saltcote are nearby. 10mins to Tesco in Bangor to stock up o essentials. We usually stay at Trearddur but end up doing activities on the island and mainland so this was the perfect location for us to explore places like aber falls which is a great walk for the kids and to also visit and spend time with friends at the other end of the island. We loved our stay and would definitely return. It’s fantastic to find somewhere dog friendly that is also lovely.

    We really loved the house and the location, apart from being very near to a busy road was lovely. Such starry skies at night with no light pollution. The only down side was the hot tub was not ready for us upon arrival on the Friday afternoon. It was not ready until Sunday morning after 9 oclock. We were leaving Monday morning. As nice as the cottage was, the hot tub was the paramount reason for us choosing the cottage. The owner was very apologetic as it had been turned off when it was being cleaned and not turned back on. However, even if it had been on, we found out upon arriving it would not have been ready for us until the Saturday morning anyway. I find this a tad unacceptable. The hot tub should be ready for the visitor upon arrival that very night. We had no offer of compensation that a good part of our hot tub weekend had been hot tub free. However, it is a very nice accomodation, with all mod cons and once the hot tub was working, it transformed the experience for us and we did not really want to leave. This is not a complaint, but a heads up about it.

Unfortunately by the time it is emptied and cleaned it takes a good 12 hours to re-heat and there is nothing we can do about that. We are very sorry that you had the added annoyance of no hot tub until the day after due to a mistake with the switch. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay apart from that.

    Absolutely brilliant cottage! We had a fantastic weekend there and our little girls loved it too. Great base for exploring all around the area. Lovely and peaceful and just so nice and cosy. Will definitely be back

    Excellent cottage and location, Newborough beach and forest which are stunning are only 5 minutes away by car, lots of walks close by. Cottage is lovely and clean, loved the log burner and hot tub. Would definitely come back.

    This was a lovely little cottage for myself, my husband, our 2.5 yr old & 9 month old. It’s so nice to go somewhere where all the essentials are already provided (fairy liquid, washing powder, loo roll etc). It was a lovely touch. There’s some great attractions within 30 min drive & we went to 3 different soft plays as the weather was grim. The hot tub was amazing!! We’d definitely recommend it :)

    Good property overall there were just a couple of details. No clothes pegs, and a few tea bags would have been appreciated. Also one side of a plug socket in the main bedroom didn’t work. Not a problem just wanted to make owners aware

I apologise for there being no teabags, we normally leave some with the Bara brith and milk which I hope you enjoyed. We will check the main bedroom socket.
