A. Not flagged up by the initial description of this cottage were the facts that:- 1) there was no access to wi-fi and 2) there were several steep stairs between the kitchen/dining areas and yet another few steps down into the livingroom area. B. The bedroom was very overheated with the boiler being in the bedroom cupboard and from the heat rising from below. Yet when opening the roof lights to release the excess heat, a cascade of grit and rubble fell onto the bed. The settings on the heat control had obviously not been changed to summer settings. C. The patio and furniture accessed via the bedroom was full of moss and detritus, not having been cleaned for a very long time, therefore we couldn't use this area. D. No Welcome Pack and not even a teabag or milk on arrival (unusual). E. Similar comments were in the online reviews and feedback given over the past 5 or more years and yet these issues, as above, had still not been addressed. The owners need to address these concerns, as this property has the potential to offer an exceptional holiday experience.
