Very nice stay at Woodend Cottage. We took our elderly parents and it was great to have a bungalow - people should note that there are steps into the house though and into the kitchen and one of the en-suite bedrooms. Well equipped house with great terrace and fabulous views. Owners were very nice. The area is very picturesque, beautiful countryside with plenty to visit.

A fantastic place to stay in a lovely setting, really nice hosts who have done a great job with the bungalow. An excellent location for the motorway to explore the surrounding area.

Very nice place and view. Very well presented and clean. Nice places to eat and drink... Only let down by the dawn chorus of dogs barking full tilt between 0830 and 1030 from the nearby boarding kennels

Loved our stay here for my dad's 60th birthday. The bungalow is lovely and we received a very warm welcome from the owners who live in the adjoining property. We stayed at the beginning of February and it was a very cold weekend weather wise, with flurries of sleet and snow, but the bungalow was nice and warm, and had everything we needed. Pam, the owner, even baked us a cake for our arrival and left us eggs and butter - a very nice touch! Just a couple of things that would have improved the bungalow for us - the games room was very cold - it is in an extension to the bungalow and at the time of year we stayed it was difficult to enjoy the darts and table tennis available in here, which was something we were looking forward to. A small portable heater or something would have made this room much more useable. The wifi was also a bit temperamental and often couldn't be accessed in the lounge area - we didn't really need it but it was a bit inconvenient at times. All in all a very relaxing break away with everything we needed and plenty of space for a family of 8 adults, 2 children and a dog! Thank you!

We all had a lovely time, loved everything apart from the minuet basket of logs available. As the living room has insufficient heating to warm up without the fire. The only other logs available were wet. Would stay again
