A lovely weekend and a lovely place to stay. Only complaint is that the downstairs table is quite sticky and we had to buy a tablecloth, everything else was great.

A very spacious cottage in a great location for gems in the Peak district like Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Buxton as well as lots of Caverns. The cottage is very cosy and inviting. Finding it is a bit tricky and when you are there, it is just off the main road and a close fit if arriving in 2 cars. Wifi only works in the ground floor office and dining rooms so the cottage could do with some boosters to make it available in the kitchen, 1st and 2nd floors. We also missed there being no USB ports in plug sockets to charge phones.

Seven of us stayed at Wood Cottage for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Plenty of space for us all to hang out and sleep, easy to find and get in on the first day, and lots of beautiful countryside to explore. The house was spotless and had everything we needed to have a great time! Would recommend for both large groups of friends or large families.
