Tucked away behind a popular traditional Georgian Coaching Inn (The Brown Horse Inn), located in the picturesque Winster Valley near Bowness-on-Windermere. This stylish pod is just one of eight, completed to a very good standard in 2023, each showcasing its own individual charm. Decorated in classic English country style with wood panelling, natural woods and sumptuous soft furnishings, Winster has a stylish kitchen. There’s a dining area with comfortable seating for two. Open plan to the kitchen/dining area is the bedroom area, boasting a kingsize bed and wall-mounted Smart TV. For added comfort and convenience, toiletries and bathrobes are provided.
On warmer days, you can take advantage of the woodland views from the terrace. Perhaps relaxing with a morning coffee or a glass of your favourite tipple in the evening. ’The Brown Horse Inn’, serving locally sourced food and real ales, is literally on the doorstep. The area is also home to a multitude of countrywalks or you can jump in the car and be in Bowness-on-Windermere in 10 minutes, Ambleside in 20 or Grasmere sporting an abundance of walks and Rydal Caves within 30.
This property is perfectly placed to enjoy all that Bownesss-on-Windermere has to offer, including some of the Lake District’s finest attractions. Take a cruise on Lake Windermere to Ambleside or across to Lakeside to enjoy a day at The Aquarium or hop on the steam train to Haverthwaite. Alternatively, try your hand at sailing and hire your own boat for a few hours. Paddleboarding is another popular activity on the lake, so if you have one, then it’s certainly worth bringing it along. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to Beatrix Potter World and the wonderful Art Deco Royalty Cinema. Some of the Lake District’s fantastic fells are a mere short drive away, as well as the small ’Alpine’ like village of Grasmere, where William Wordsworth is laid to rest at St. Oswald’s Church. If you’re a fan of Gingerbread, a visit to Grasmere Gingerbread shop is a must! Beach 13½ miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.
