Heathcote is a quiet hamlet, just one and quarter miles from the popular village of Hartington with its pretty village pond and famed cheese shop, as well as walks along Wolfscote Dale and Beresford Dale alongside the River Dove. Tissington Cycle Trail is just 120 yards, and there is a wealth of fine scenery, historic houses such as Chatsworth, Haddon House and Hardwick Hall. Livelier is Matlock Bath with its cable cars, Gullivers Kingdom and Alton Towers, whilst the attractive spa town of Buxton and market town of Bakewell are all within a 25 minute drive. Whitehouse Farm is the ideal base to visit all the attractions the Peak District National Park has to offer for all ages. Groceries can be delivered on request. Shops 1¼ miles, pub ¾ mile.

booked this barn for my 40th birthday it catered for all 14 of us very comfortable and had everything we needed The only down side to it was the barn was adjacent to the owners home which wasn’t stated on the website and you could only use the hot tub till 22.30 We were asked to keep the noise down because there home being next door so we had to sit in doors on a lovely evening

We were there for a large extended family party to celebrate a 70th birthday. The cottage was ideal for this, with 6 bedrooms, including a large family room, a large well equipped kitchen and big dining table, plus a spacious sitting room, with enough seats for everyone.
