This spacious former barn has been sympathetically converted. No longer a working farm, and attached to the owners’ own home, but not overlooked, Whitehouse Farm enjoys beautiful views across the Dales. Ideal property for family holidays and celebrations, walking groups and friends coming together to explore all the Peak District National Park has to offer. Sorry, no hen or stag parties.

Hartington Village is within walking distance (1¼ miles) with pubs, cafés, village stores and the famous cheese shop. The local pub at Biggin is a 20-minute walk across the fields. There are an abundance of Peak Park walks from the door, including the stunning Wolfscote, Beresford and Biggin Dales.

For families with younger children there is easy access to the cycle trails and short walks across the fields to Hartington Meadows Nature Reserve and Ruby Woods or down the lane to Hartington Mere conservation pond. The attractive market towns of Bakewell and Buxton and Matlock, Matlock Bath and Ashbourne are all within a 20-minute drive of the property. Supermarkets can be found at Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock.

Attractions within a 25-minute drive include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Peak Wildlife Park, Heights of Abraham and Buxton Opera House. There is a bus stop just down the lane where you can catch the Buxton to Ashbourne bus, a scenic route which takes you through pretty Peak District villages such as Tissington, Longnor, Hartington and Warslow. Excellent property, very well equipped and in good order. Very capable of accommodating a house full - we were 12 and had plenty of space and very adequate kitchen equipment. Some very nice touches such as complementary bottles and cakes provided by the proprietors.

Beautiful house with plenty of space throughout, though the kitchen/diner felt a little cramped. Would have been good to be within walking distance of hartington rather than having to drive but there were a couple of pubs less than 20mins walk away which was good.
