We stayed at White Rose Cottage for the first time this summer. We had a wonderful break and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful and private location with unobstructed views over the countryside down to the sea. The cottage itself is a part of the owner, Mrs Whites's ,period house and is both comfortable and charming .There are many small but thoughtful touches to the cottage such as fresh flowers picked from the pretty country style garden , the smell of roses in the late afternoon sunshine, lace edged pillow slips , hot water bottles and an endless supply of hot water are amongst a few. Local villages, beaches and towns are within an easy drive as are local grocery stores and pubs as well as a selection of places to eat. However there are no shopping facilities within easy walking distance .There was no basic hospitality basket provided which was not a problem for ourselves but may be worth considering if arriving later in the day. We would, and hope to, visit again.
