Whinny Brow is in an excellent position for walking and cycling, particularly the northern lakes. It is an extremely comfortable log cabin with amazing views over Latrigg and Skiddaw and is within easy walking distance to the centre of Keswick. We had a wide range of birds visiting the feeders on the trees and a hare appeared three times during our stay, a real bonus! The cabin itself has a lovely open-plan living area including a well-equipped kitchen area and opens out on to decking - ideal for sitting out in the evening (bench, chairs and table provided). We have been visiting Whinny Brow for several years and it has become our home from home. a perfect place for fantastic holidays. Thoroughly recommend it.

A nice modern lodge on this peaceful park. My only criticism of this lodge is that after a week of habitation it still had the most overpowering odour of bleach. Whatever they clean with needs addressing as it is not pleasant.

We had such a lovely week at whinny brow as a family. It’s such a great location to explore the lakes and a walk next to the river in Fitz park took you straight into the centre of Keswick. The views from the lodge over Siddaw and Latrigg were stunning in any weather. The Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. We cooked several nights and it was very well equipped. The only useful addition would be some information on the area but the tourist information was very helpful in Keswick. We fed the birds from the veranda and even saw a woodpecker feeding from the feeder several times. I would recommend it to any family and hope to return to explore the lakes that we didn’t manage to get too in the week.
