Sympathetically converted to provide comfortable accommodation, this property welcomes you with original beams, wood burner, stone flagged floors throughout and the added bonus of an elegant free-standing bath sat in front of large bi-folding doors. Lovingly furnished with a homely Yorkshire feel this property ensures a memorable holiday. Sunset Barn offers open-plan living with stone floors throughout and a deep Chesterfield sofa. The farmhouse style kitchen/dining area is separated from the kingsize bedroom by a rustic brick wall, with the lovely feature of a duel facing wood burner. One of the original windows has also been cleverly incorporated into the wall so you can catch a glimpse throughout the property. The boutique style wet room completes the accommodation.
Outside is a private garden offering both a lawn and patio area, an idyllic spot to sit and relax. Why not collect your own freshly laid eggs from the free range chickens, or pick some of the many herbs available to add to some delicious home cooked recipes? Guests also have access to kennel facilities with the owners offering ‘doggy day care’ should you wish to enjoy a day out or a romantic evening meal without your four-legged friend.

This beautiful part of North Yorkshire is a walkers and cyclist’s paradise, with miles of footpaths, cycle routes and bridle ways not to mention the Coast-to-Coast and Cleveland Way paths. Nearby lies Byland and Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley Castle, the National Bird of Prey Centre and Castle Howard, home to ITV’s ‘Victoria’. For history enthusiasts, the historic city of York is only a 40-minute drive away and a little further afield is the North Yorkshire coast and seaside towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington. Beach 24½ miles. Shop 4 miles, pub 500 yards and restaurant 6 miles.
Sunset Barn can be booked together with The Roost (ref UK12854) to accommodate up to 4 guests.

Just had a wonderful four days staying in Sunset Barn. What a fantastic place, fully equipped with everything you could need, the most comfortable bed and fantastic facilities. It was immaculate. So often you have to compromise on accommodation for pet friendly but not here. Lovely pub just a stroll away serving delicious home cooked food and so many places to visit locally. We couldn’t fault anything and really hope to return.

We absolutely loved staying at Sunset Bard for the weekend. The facilities were more than perfect, as well as the pub being a 5 min walk away and the beautiful walks a short car journey away. Coming back to a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating was such a treat - and not to mention waking up to the beautiful views in bed! I would 100% recommend and will be heading back there again!
