If you’re more of a spirits drinker, the Cotswold Distillery is just over 5 miles away where you can go to sample local gin and whisky. Situated between Chipping Norton and Banbury, the cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds; close by are the picturesque market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Morton-in-the-Marsh. Great days out can be had nearby in Oxford, 23 miles; Blenheim Palace, 15 miles; Stratford-Upon-Avon, 22 miles; Warwick Castle, 30 miles, as well as at the many National Trust sites in the surrounding area. The cottage was warm, for which we were very grateful, as the weather was atrocious! The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The housekeeper must work hard to maintain such a high standard. The property was described as a four person house, but the small sitting room was furnished with only two armchairs. We think the size of the cottage overall was only really suitable for two adults. We had intended to be a group of 4, but as it happens, our friends had to cancel due to ill health. Had they not cancelled, we feel it would have been very cramped.

A very comfortable cottage with everything you need. A great pub next door and a village shop that stocks just about everything.

Located well for Cotswold/Oxfordshire area. Pub/shop 1 minute walk. Parking very difficult. Cottage very clean and equipped well. Downstairs a bit cramped. Decor needs some love and attention. Usually stay in 5 star cottages and could really see the difference. Decent value for money.

Absolute lovely cottage. Nice, clean and cosy. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would love to come again . Only problem: parking is difficult right in front of the house.

Excellent, really well appointed cottage and super location; fifteen minutes from Banbury and well within striking distance of Woodstock, Oxford, London (on the train) and many other places of interest. Will definitely consider this cottage for future trips to the area.
