Anne’s Cottage is a spacious and comfortable one bedroomed cottage, designed to make self-catering an enjoyable experience. With an en-suite kingsize bedroom, a well fitted kitchen/dining area, as well as a TV area including a sofa bed, this cottage is ideal for couples or a young family. Located within 10 minutes of the famous Galloway Forest Park, it is a secluded rural haven set in 18 acres of grounds, with the River Bladnoch running along the perimeter providing fantastic fishing opportunities by arrangement with the owner. Nature and wildlife are truly on your doorstep.
Despite being ’in the middle of nowhere’, Newton Stewart and all its amenities are located just 9 miles away. The nearby Galloway Forest has been designated a Gold Tier Dark Sky Park since 2009 due to its breathtaking and rare stargazing conditions, and provides incredible dark skies for astronomy and astrophotography enthusiasts. The area is famed for its mountain bike routes, including the most spectacular rides of the 7 Stanes. Glentrool is either 20 minutes’ by car or a little warm up bike ride through the forest and heathlands past Ochiltree Loch. The Kirroughtree trails are also within reach via a 30-minute drive and The Southern Upland Way route goes right past Waterside.
Golfers are also very well served, with 30 golf courses throughout the region. Waterside’s location offers the golf enthusiast a great rural escape with great golf just a short journey in multiple directions. If however, you just want to get away from the chaos of everyday life then Waterside is ideal, whether you have planned adventures or just want to relax and unwind on-site with nature on your doorstep.
