This was one of the highlights of our trip!! We loved the cottage. We did struggle a bit with the opening hours of the local cafe and shop... we did not plan ahead well enough. We had a fabulous stormy night when we were there that was very exciting. That wee house is so solid!

We had a great time in the cottage, it was very functional and practical. We really appreciated the different explanations written on a sticky note on the wall to help us finding how things work. Having a kitchen was helpful because there is no much restaurant around the cottage. It is located in a very calm and peaceful place, it is relaxing and agreeable to see nothing but hills, nature and sheep outside of the cottage. Unfortunately, I'm sorry but I have to say that we left one day before our departure day because the cottage was located too far from the main attractions of the isle and the country. The road to reach the cottage is difficult, it is very narrow and it took a long time to return from the supermarket, Portree, the kilt rock waterfall, the fairy pool, ... And we missed the wifi a lot, we needed it to do some researches for our trip and we had to go to Portree in a leisure center to find a connexion. I'm sorry my comment sounds a bit pessimistic .... we had a good time in the cottage, it is a lovely place but I would recommend it not as an accommodation on a road-trip but to spend one week or more to rest and take advantage of the calmness of the place and the beauty of the landscape.

My family and I spent a long weekend on the Isle of Skye. Our cottage was in a lovely location that was out of the way, providing a relaxing spot for perfect peace and quiet. There is so much to see and do around Skye, if you like wildlife watching, outdoor pursuits or just taking in spectacular scenery, Skye has it all in abundance. It cannot fail to impress. My family and I will continue coming back here, there is so much more that we haven't got round to seeing.
