We had a lovely few days at walnut cottage. There was just the two of us which was fine as it is quite cosy. There is everything you need there and the cottage was beautifully clean and well-presented. The welcome pack is extremely generous with the basics ie bread, milk, butter and eggs being provided as well as some goodies such as cake and biscuits. There is lots to do around the area and a nice pub only a few minutes walk. Andy the owner was so helpful in all our dealings with him from providing information before we went, checking all ok when we were there and a follow-up phonecall after our stay to ensure we were pleased with everything. We would certainly recommend Walnut cottage.

Well what a surprise! If you can find a better cottage at this price please let me know, Spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated. The owner had left an amazing welcome pack of local food, wine & treats. A lovely log burner in the lounge, along with central heating kept the cottage really warm & cosy. The beds were really comfortable, watch your head on the low doorways. Great pub, The Wild Man, just 100 yards away with great food & ales. This is a cottage of great character but beautifully renovated with all modern amenities. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone & will certainly stay there again ourselves.

Wonderful, host called to ensure we were welcome, lots of goodies awaited us and extra touches of Christmas decorations fitted about made the cottage so cosy and Cristmassy. Lovely and warm, enough logs, plenty of bedding, towels and kitchenware as well as a lovely outside space. Thank you so much.. We would certainly recommend Walnut Cottage.

Characteristic cottage close to village pub & community shop. Care package left with fresh baked bread, butter, milk, ham, eggs, tea, coffee & sugar. Great for a short stay. Small rooms but beats staying in a hotel room/ caravan with kids! Friendly owners

We really enjoyed our stay at walnut cottage the goodies you left us were so tasty. The only fault we could find was the oven was dirty and we could not get the dishwasher to work. So nice for us to be able to take our dog away with us she loved the walks.

We had a really wonderful stay at Walnut cottage. Not only did we have a very attentive host who talked us through all the cottage and village amenities, but we had been left a welcome pack with lots of goodies to see us through the weekend. The cottage is charming and the garden was beautiful. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a lovely wood burner in the living room. A really cosy and comfortable stay, and I would certainly recommend this for a long weekend.
