Description

With stunning views and walks from the door onto Bodmin Moor, this cottage is ideal for walkers and birdwatchers alike.

Totally off the beaten track, hidden away on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor, just a few miles from the pretty little village of Blisland, and 10 miles from the fabulous north and south coast. Wallhouse Barn is a fantastic holiday home for families or couples seeking complete peace and quiet, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Accessed by a little private road across stunning open moorland, the stone barn stands detached in the grounds of the owner’s moorland small holding.
With a quirky design and interior this barn is a barn with a difference. Natural granite steps lead from the living room to the bedroom with ornate iron work balustrades, cosy double bedroom with mezzanine, a modern bathroom and kitchen with slate flooring. The main feature of the house is the spacious living/dining room, which is light, bright and airy with vaulted ceiling and large glass doors opening onto a private decked patio garden overlooking a little paddock. Perfect for lazy summer days.
You can walk directly onto the open moorland from the property and experience the stunning views, ruggedness, nature and birdlife surrounding you, or being located between the North and South Coast of Cornwall you can explore the many varied attractions for all ages that Cornwall has to offer. We had a great time at Wallhouse Barn - we particularly love the great living room with the the amazing views from the windows. You really get the feeling of being nestled in the middle of the moor. Our 2 kids loved the mezzanine - as they could hide away in there with their toys and play. The location is great as there are so many places within easy distance to visit. We plan on staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay, it was comfortable and clean. We consider that it was value for money in October but would not consider height of season prices as being value for money. We arrived in the middle of storm Brian and the owner came over to make us feel welcome.

Lovely comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings, however not much of a view from inside.
