Vallum Villa enjoys an enviable position just a stones’ throw from Hadrian’s Wall and Steel Rigg. Completely restored throughout to a high standard in 2022 and 2023, the property makes perfect accommodation for friends families and special occasions. A new modern kitchen is well equipped to cater for your stay, a lovely central log burning stove heats both the kitchen and dining area where bi-fold doors lead out onto the spacious garden and decked area. Upstairs leads to a bedroom with kingsize bed with glass wall overlooking the beautiful countryside and has an en-suite shower room, there is an additional family bathroom with shower over bath. Outside, there is a lawned and decked garden to enjoy, set with garden furniture making an ideal social space, this leads on to the garden room with fabulous eight person hot tub to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. On an evening the dark skies are spectacular, you’re bound to enjoy some star gazing!
Vallum Villa is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike. The property is close to the Pennine Way and various bridleways and cycle routes passing rivers, forests and castles. Hadrian’s Cycleway (Route 72) and the Sandstone Way cycle route can both be found nearby. The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. Nearby you can discover the Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. Also within easy reach is Haltwhistle, which is the ‘Geographic Centre of Britain’, with sports centre and outdoor heated swimming pools, and Burn Gorge.
