Valley Pods is a luxury barn conversion set in 7 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow on the Cambs–Suffolk border—perfect for unwinding with big sky views and birdsong in summer, and misty, sunlit mornings in winter. Recently completed to eco Passivhaus standards by award-winning architects Mole, the barn stays cool in summer and cosy in winter beneath exposed beams and a light, airy interior.
The charcoal kitchen is fully equipped for easy self-catering: full oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge with icebox, and seating for four. A Baby Dan highchair and travel cot are available on request. In the lounge, sink into a velvet sofa and armchair, enjoy countryside views, and relax with the digital TV and sound dock. Doors open to a generous Indian sandstone patio with rattan sofa; enclose it to keep little ones safe. Light the firepit for marshmallows or use its grill to BBQ.
Sleep well in the fresh, pastel-toned master bedroom with king-size bed and a private, shaded patio with bistro set. The twin room blends soft industrial notes with nature-inspired touches; blackout-lined curtains help younger guests sleep. All beds feature Silentnight Eco mattresses. The family bathroom has a bath, waterfall shower and Heated towel rail; hairdryer and GHD straighteners provided.
In December the barn is beautifully decorated for a magical Christmas stay, complete with Royal Stafford festive crockery.

Nearby days out include Linton Zoo (10 mins), IWM Duxford (15 mins; aircraft often fly overhead), and National Trust favourites Anglesey Abbey (15 mins), plus Wimpole Hall, Wicken Fen and Ickworth (about 30 mins). English Heritage’s Audley End is 20 mins, Cambridge is 20 mins, and Newmarket Racecourse is 20 mins.
