Enjoying a fabulous rural location close to the banks of the Llangollen canal, on the owners’ working sheep and cattle farm, this charming complex of four cottages, Y Stabl (ref UK12742), Cor Tarw (ref UK12743), Ty Felin (ref UK12744) and Ty Godro (ref UK12745) have been skilfully converted from a range of former farm buildings to offer truly delightful, modern and spacious holiday accommodation. Each lovely barn enjoys its own private enclosed garden and each boasts a fabulous hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring this wonderful corner of Wales. These adjoining cottages would make a fabulous location for large groups and families holidaying together.

The location is perfect for exploring the very best of North Wales and the border lands, outdoor enthusiasts will certainly delight in the myriad of activities on offer nearby. These include white water rafting, mountain bike trails, canoeing, golf and excellent walking and birdwatching. Close by lies the lovely town of Llangollen where visitors will find an abundance of interesting shops, inns and restaurants and great attractions including horse drawn canal boat trips and historic steam train journeys. From here, there are narrowboat trips across the famous Pontcysyllte aqueduct, the highest and longest on the whole canal system, and the surrounding Dee Valley is a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop for climbing, abseiling and gorge walking. Sitting high above Llangollen are the mysterious ruins of Dinas Bran Castle, the legendary hiding place of the Holy Grail, and well worth the walk to take in the fabulous views, whilst Chirk with its lovely National Trust castle is also close by.

The cottages are located within easy access to road and rail links, with three railway stations within 10 miles. Manchester and Liverpool airports are just an hour’s drive away. Also within easy reach is the pretty market town of Shrewsbury, as well as the cities of Chester and Birmingham. Shop 2 miles and pub 1 mile.
The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 32 guests.

A beautiful modern house, spotlessly clean, and everything supplied, even down to shower gel in all 4 bathrooms. Having 4 on_suite bedrooms was wonderful towels really large and excellent quality, and the hot tub was an added bonus. The surrounding area was very peaceful and relaxing, and only a short 5 minute drive to the main road. We were 3 families and none of us had any complaints, the owners were very helpful when needed, but weren't watching you all the time which was lovely.
