This property is located in the heart of the small Cornish hamlet of Treligga, ideal for exploring the many attractions.

These pet friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns (refs 30108, 30109, 30110 and 30111) are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen and TV in the main bedrooms, as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

Great location for access to the beautiful coastal villages and towns. The coastal path is just a short walk from the cottage and leads to a wonderful beach, access is steep via steps cut into the rocks, but well worth the effort of getting there. The cottage offers quiet, peace and relaxation and is fully equipped with everything you need.

The cottage is bigger than expected but did smell very fusty on arrival needing all the windows opening. The carpets were dirty and I had to hover before unpacking. Thorns and berries everywhere outside so it was not dog friendly. The oven was dirty and smelt of grease. The worst part was the bathroom. The shower was filthy and completely blocked so flooded when my daughter got in the shower and we spent a few hours cleaning that and 5 pounds on drain unblocker. The location is quiet but remote and there is no way of getting anywhere unless you want to risk life and limb on single track blind bend roads. You have no choice however if you want to eat or go anywhere as there is nothing within a 4 mile radius. We left early due to not wanting to risk the roads anymore. Disappointed.

Small quiet location in a tiny village settings. No walk to shops, 5 min drive to next village. Limited things to do in the village for small children. Cottage had a gated 'garden' for our dogs and child but was all concrete so not ideal for playing in. The cottage was well kitted out and a good size. The cot and high chair supplied were good. The only negative was that the cottage wasn't very clean and we ended up hoovering it ourselves!

I complained about a smell in the bathroom which made the cottage smell of urine but nothing was done such a shame as this was the second booking here and we loved the spot

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The problem was traced to a malfunction in the extractor fan which was replaced the following week.
