A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Surfing, golf, cycling or just exploring the charming fishing villages are just some of the possible delights whilst staying at this detached bungalow.

Set amidst a cluster of other detached bungalows, Trevone is a light and airy, very well-presented, single-storey holiday home. It lies in a secluded and quiet area of North Cornwall, yet is only a few minutes from some amazing, golden sandy beaches, ideal for walkers, runners and dog lovers. Just a short journey by car from this superbly positioned bungalow are the coastal villages of Constantine, with a golden beach backed by dunes and golf course; Harlyn surfing beach, with an excellent local pub serving local food and hosting live music; and Porthcothan with beautiful coastal walks and a sandy beach. Padstow, home to TV chef Rick Stein’s culinary empire, is a must and is very close by. A favourite recreation of locals is to hire bikes at the quayside and cycle the flat Camel Trail to Wadebridge and back, enjoying fish and chips on the harbour and watching the boats come and go.
You can also catch a passenger ferry from Padstow across to the pretty village of Rock, and there are some excellent walks through Daymer Bay past the Church at St Enedoc (the resting place of Sir John Betjeman the Poet Laureate) and on towards Polzeath for a drink in a beachside bar.
The beaches along this stretch of coast also have some of the best surfing that Cornwall can offer - all with surfing equipment hire and lessons should you want to try this exhilarating sport. Apart from Michelin-starred chefs, golfers are also well provided for in the St Merryn area. The number of quality golf courses here means you can play on a different course every day for a week, starting from Trevose and heading to the Point at Polzeatho, St Enedoc to Merlin and beyond.
A visit to the inland town of Wadebridge, a pretty market town with many local shops, is a must. Further inland, the ancient town of Bodmin - with its very own steam railway - is well worth seeing. The coastal village of Port Isaac, home to TV’s Doc Martin, is a real joy and still holds all the charm of a Cornish fishing village. Horse riding, cinemas, golf, surfing and cycling are all available close by. Beach 2½ miles. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
Trevone sits on the same site as Treyarnon (15443), Fistral (15447), Harlyn (18296) and Treginegar Farmhouse (17090).

The cottage was beautiful and clean. Would definitely stop here again. Lovely seating area should you have nice weather and view of the sea on a clear day. Just a note no gas central heating so would not stay in winter.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your lovely comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your holiday and look forward to seeing you if you decided to visit again. Electric heaters supply the heating, which is stated within the description, but after having a long walk in the winter, we always return to a lovely warm cottage.

Fantastically clean, beautifully appointed and the best equipped cottage ever! Everything has been thought of and finished to the highest standard. So comfortable, warm and welcoming. The area is lovely - short drive to St Merryn for shops, bakery and selection of places to eat. Close by to several beaches (many dog friendly), walks, towns and attractions - do plenty to do if you want it.

Was a fantastic location, secluded but with plenty at hand if needed and a cheap taxi ride from Rick Steins pub. Excellent location for amazing beaches, kids were happy so I was.

Overall the cottage was v. Clean and comfortable and well equipped. There wasn’t enough information i.e. local doctors surgery took us most of the day to find a doctor for my husband, one of the contact no’s was for a previous owner. Next one on the list had no idea. Most of the time internet was not working.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Sorry your husband was ill whilst staying at Trevone, we have two large folders with local information including the health centre number. It is unfortunate you didn’t make us aware your husband was ill; we could have helped you at this difficult time. We are having a new router installed due to the problems we have experienced; the service providers have had problems do due the recent storms.

Very peaceful little bungalow, situated on a farm. Located next to a small touring caravan site, but no noise, absolutely nothing to worry about. Exceptionally well equipped, with very good quality kitchenware. Recently refurbished, so spotless. Within a few miles of several lovely, unspoilt beaches and the coastal path. The owner was very friendly and helpful when I rang.
