The crucial question concern the local amenities. A great feature of the cottage is that there are no local amenities (excepting excellent WiFi and mobile connections). There is only open access to the dominating Brown Clee Hill towering above, the iron age fort fabove the house facing the western horizon of range after range of the beautiful Shropshire Hills. There are no Roaabove the houd traffic noises, because there is no public road. The peace is emphasised by the calls of lambs, the croak of Ravens, the songs of the skylarks and yellowhammer, and the cries of buzzards and red kites.

Excellent break at a very remote location, which is why I haven’t scored local amenities- didn’t apply. Other than that, we found it very cosy, superb location and the owners made us very welcome.
