Delightful place to stay if you're a walker. Ideally need to take all of your own provisions as it's quite off the beaten track. Well equipped in terms of cooking and heating. Views priceless. Walking routes many and varied.

If you want an “ Away from it all” period cottage then Titchbourne is perfect. Be aware that the road is a Bridleway and is not tarmac but during our stay lots & lots of hardcore was being laid 👍 Very cosy even with snow outside can even get Too hot if you over stock the wood burner. Our dog loved it there too. Owners very friendly & helpful & Boyne Arms a stop off on the way back is a must 😎

Titchbourne is the best hideaway for a couple wanting peace and quiet from the everyday pressures in life. The tranquility is second to none , with no light pollution it feels possible to touch the stars on a clear winters night. The cosiness and log fire are the formula for our Doberman “Darcey” my wife and I to close the door on the world.“Thank you”

Great little cottage with only sheep for neighbours. We'll definitely be going back.

Almost a mile up a track from the nearest road (OK for cars) the cottage could not be more peaceful. Doug and Nesta are really friendly hosts. Well equipped, spacious and full of character; comfortable beds; spacious living room; nice garden; patio with table and chairs, and marvellous view. Stairs quite narrow and steep for someone of limited mobility - fine for us.
