Timbessie Barn is perfectly located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with numerous marked footpaths from the doorstep and beauty spots such as Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle within walking distance. Hawes, with the Wensleydale Creamery and Hardraw Falls, are only a short drive away. Other popular spots such as Malham Cove, White Scar Cave and Ribblehead Viaduct make for a great day trip.

After a day exploring you can either have a cosy night in warming your toes by the wood burner or head out for some good food and a drink at the village pub, just a 2-minute walk away.

Outside the barn benefits from a gated, dry stone walled courtyard with a picnic table, ideal for young children and pets. Off road parking is available if preferred, but there is ample on road parking immediately next to the barn, in the middle of the village. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Timbessie barn was very well equipped. The information provided was excellent, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The barn is beautifully decorated, the upside down arrangement worked fantastically, making excellent use of the stunning views across Wendsleydale. The local pub was affordable, very accommodating and friendly. Main shops are a short drive away as described. We found plenty to do locally on our week's holiday, which minimised travel expense. Castle Bolton is worth a visit and is only 5 minutes drive away.

We had a wonderful holiday in the week of the heatwave, the barn was perfect as the downstairs bedrooms with thick stone walls stayed cool. Enjoyed the outdoor space watching the rabbits in the field, very quiet & relaxing. There are lovely walks from the door & we ate in the pub a couple of times which was also very good.

Wonderful property! Everything we needed and more! Perfect location for exploring the Dales. The large bed in the main bedroom was new and extremely comfortable. A truly lovely holiday home.
