The popular village of Woolsery is just nearby, with a village store and a post office, village inn and highly acclaimed fish and chip shop. Clovelly with its cobbled streets and donkey transport is just 4 miles away, and there are fantastic beaches for relaxing and surfing at Westward Ho!, Staunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay. Being so close to the Cornish border means it’s a short drive to the bustling resort of Bude, and there are fantastic views on the coastal paths around Hartland Point.
The pretty town of Bideford is just 12 miles, and from here you can take a boat trip to the beautiful marine nature reserve at Lundy Island. There are many National Trust properties close by, and the RHS Gardens at Rosemoor is not to be missed.
