Great Yarmouth has a 15 mile stretch of glorious sandy beach with pier, entertainment, Sea Life Centre, bowling, amusements, donkey rides, bouncy castles, wax world, model village, funfair for both small children and adrenaline rides, crazy golf, water park, restaurants, cafés and pubs. Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. Central beach hosts a firework spectacular each Wednesday (weather permitting) during the summer season. With many activities available all year round, please note some have seasonal openings.
The town centre has a shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets and a train station close by. Quayside is home to the Time and Tide Museum and Nelson’s Museum. Nearby (2.5 miles) is the stadium for grey hound racing, stock car racing and horse racing.
The famous Norfolk Broads is just 11 miles away, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways. There are daily river and boat trips and riverside eateries. The city of Norwich (21 miles) for excellent shopping two indoor malls, market square, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés and restaurants.
