An excellent location. Ideal for three counties attractions and places of interest, good access to the New forest walking cycling or driving. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming and provide that little extra touch to make a stay at walnut Tree cottage very comfortable. Should'nt really share this as it is a great secret location. Thank you

A superb location for our plans. Unfortunately the weather was inclement and the storage heating system is simply not up to the job of keeping the cottage snug and cosy. The owners have put an electric heater in to be used as required, which was a life saver on this occasion and they can hardly be held responsible for the weather! Local flooding prevented an exploration of Fordingbridge village but it is truly beautiful when the river runs normally and children can play safely in the water. We needed to visit family on the Isle of Wight and it was nice to take the smaller ferry from Lymington rather than the usual beast from Southampton. A day on the island was a simple and practical task due to the cottage's location. Similarly, I wished to visit Beaulieu Motor Museum as well as Sammy Miller's motorcycle museum at New Milton. Both are within easy reach and offer great days out for enthusiasts as well as the casual visit, with pleasant tea rooms at both locations. The location of the cottage was just ideal for us to make the most effective use of our time in the Forest and I have no doubt that in warm weather it would be superb to use the garden, eat al fresco and chase the rabbits.

This is a small but cosy two person cottage. There are low ceilings because of the thatched roof. The only negative issue is the lack of Wifi.

The cottage was in a good location close to the New Forest and Sandyballs. Fordingbridge was a beautiful little town which was within a 25 minute walk. The cottage itself was warm and comfortable. I had twins with me and they were catered for with cots and high chairs. The bedroom was comfortable and you will have a good sleep. My only criticism is the fact the kitchen was a bit dirty and needed to have a bit of a clean. The bathroom also needs a bit of a refresh as it was a bit dated like the kitchen. Apart from that we had a great time. The host was accommodating and I would come back to stay again.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is that there were more kitchen utensils ie more knives, a potato peeler and a measuring jug, simply because we ate quite a bit in at night.
