This is an A1 accommodation I fully recommend the cottage. My sister, brother in law and myself had a 7 day break at the cottage. We all intend to go back.

We booked the Waiting Rooms as a base for a five days hiking in the Lakes, Dales and North Pennines, and it fitted the bill perfectly. David the host (who lives next door) met and walked us through the property on arrival. Large open plan living room on two levels - lounge/TV and dining - created airy living space. Well appointed kitchen. Our (double) bedroom was huge with large windows opening onto garden and views of hills. Spacious en-suite bathroom with large shower (no bath) was perfect. As there were only two of us, we didn't enter the other (twin) room or bathroom - they looked fine though. The only issue is that the property is adjacent to the main road (A685) - I think the road follows the line of the original railway - hence Waiting Room. There is therefore inevitably the sound of passing traffic though this is largely muffled and not overly problematic. We'd happily stay there again.

A685 running past dining room and kitchen windows a bit strange with fantastic views behind it. Rest of windows look over beautiful garden and field of sheep behind. Spacious generous rooms especially nice main bedroom with extra large shower. Didn’t use the twin room or bathroom. Beautiful new kitchen. Went off season to save money.
