The Yorkshire Regional Specialist -Fantastic properties in the most favourable locations. No one knows Yorkshire better!

Situated in the North York Moors National Park, this romantic bolthole offers a perfect base for couples looking for a rural retreat.

This beautiful, detached timber lodge is set in a perfect, tranquil location, where you can simply relax and unwind. This lovely property makes the perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to explore the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. The Shack has been lovingly and uniquely furnished and decorated, exuding quality and style, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet during a romantic getaway. There is an open plan living space with an excellent kitchen area, a dining area, and a living area with doors leading out into the stunning countryside. There is also a cosy double bedroom, complete with an en-suite shower room.
This wonderful lodge is peacefully located in the tiny hamlet of Beck Hole, in the North York Moors National Park, just a short stroll away from the smallest pub in the north of England where traditional ales are served. The well-known Rail Trail runs through the village, and walkers will delight at the many footpaths that can be found nearby, including the Cleveland Way. The Mallyan Spout Waterfall is a must when staying in Beck Hole, and the village of Goathland, made famous as Aidensfield in the TV series ‘Heartbeat’, is less than 1 mile away. The traditional seaside resort of Scarborough is just 24 miles away with its cliff top castle, beaches, pier and Sea Life Centre. Quaint fishing and smuggling villages of Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay, and Staithes, all have their own appeal with beaches, narrow lanes and alleyways to explore. Whitby is around 10 miles away and is famous for its links with Bram Stokers ’Dracula’, as well as the many events and festivals taking place throughout the year, such as the famous Goth Weekender and the Whitby Regatta. Discover the myriad shops in the cobbled lanes, climb the 199 steps to St Mary’s church and the abbey ruins, or take a tourist boat for a sail round the coast. Inland, there are many pretty market towns including Pickering, with an excellent Wartime Weekend, and Helmsley, with its street markets, shops and castle ruins to explore. Beach 9 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 150 yards.

We had a wonderful quiet and restful week in the Shack. It is beautifully decorated and the little garden with the flowers and the great view exceptional. Linda and Martin are kind and lovely people, very friendly, always there for you and have given a lot of thought to how to make your stay wonderful ... ( the gift basket with wine and crackers, cheese, butter, milk and coffee and fresh flowers ... !) We utterly enjoyed our stay and do hope we will be able to come again.

The shack was a fantastic little place to stay, with all the comforts of home. The gardens and the view were fabulous wish I had this at home. We didn't use our car once during our stay,as goathland is a short walk away where you can catch the steam train to places like Whitby and Pickering. There are also some fabulous walks right from the doorstep of which we did quite a few. The owners LInda and Martin were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble, and thanks again for the lovely welcome hamper. Will look forward to staying here again in the very near future. A stay at the shack is a must.
