Excellent cottage clean and tidy in fact probably the cleanest cottage I’ve been to. Brilliant walks straight from the door ,the local bus service is cheap and reliable no need to drive, all in all an excellent place to go.

This is a unique cottage where we could stay cool in spite of a heatwave. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We were pleased with the cottage and its location in Middleton on Tees. There are plenty of great walks from the cottage and a choice of good quality places to eat. The cottage is small and comfortable, well equipped and the garden was lovely. We liked the privacy of the paved garden which was secure for our dog but we did need to watch him carefully in the front grassed area. It is secure but being frail and partially sighted he fell off the wall. There is a reasonable selection of shops in the village. I needed to use the doctors' surgery in the village which was very welcoming and dealt with me very efficiently. We didn't have any problems with parking on the road near the cottage.
