The Potting Shed is set on the owner’s working farm and many outdoor activities are available nearby. These include walking, golf, sea and freshwater fishing, pony trekking, water sports and cycling.
Several beautiful gardens are recommended for a visit including Logan Botanical Gardens, which benefit from the mild climate of the Gulf Stream. The quaint harbour village of Portpatrick is nearby with restaurants, shops and a golf course, whilst the town of Stranraer is approximately 8 miles with a further range of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are many coastal villages to explore in the area. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. Beach 2 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 5½ miles.
