Absolutely loved everything about this house. The house itself is beautiful with lovely features. Very clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. Location was great just 10 min drive to Telford. We were left tea and coffee. Also milk in the fridge and chocolates and biscuits which were very much appreciated.

The Old Toll House is an excellent place to stay. It is historic, full of character but with all the mod cons needed to make our stay comfortable. Coalport is a brilliant base for exploring the area, lovely woodland walks along the river and of course easy access to all the museums. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

A very nice location close to numerous pet friendly pubs and good long walks. Well situated for the Ironbridge Gorge museums with quite a few within walking distance. The Blists Victorian Town is a must whilst in the area, also very pet friendly. The cottage is very cosy but take note that it is on a junction that gets busy at times, hence some noise and lights during the night. Everything we needed was available at the cottage and the housekeeper was very friendly and helpful.

Great location for Ironbridge - everything you needed Because of the character of the building - the space was small but that was clear in the description - a later leaving time (11?) would be useful Although the owners ask that dog owners clear up all dog waste in the garden - it was evident that not all owners had followed this request. Garden and property overlooked by a property being renovated - we didn’t spend time in the garden because it was a shorter stay but it would be off putting if you were intending to do this

A compact historic cottage within walking distance across the Severn on the Coalport bridge to the riverside Woodbridge Inn. Several other pubs are within walking distance. Ironbridge and associated museums are within easy reach and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The cottage is comprehensively equipped and generously provisioned and we received a very warm welcome from Sally the caretaker. The cottage was indeed the Old Tollhouse for the Coalport Bridge (there is an interesting historic photo in the cottage showing the old toll gate across the road just outside) which is a useful clue to locating it if you overshoot!

The cottage was cosy & welcoming. Unfortunately there was building work down the road & next door all week. Things should improve when it’s all finished!

The house was exactly like the photos showed and what we wanted. Sally was helpful in letting us have the keys earlier than 4pm and very knowledgeable about the area. Also showing how to get the best from the house, washing machine, heating etc. The reasons I marked the house down slightly is due to the noise of cars coming in to the main bedroom window, double glazing would help this. The road appeared busy for workers getting to work early in the mornings, busier than we were expecting. Previous tenants had not cleaned one of the pans in the oven so when we heated the oven up, this set off the smoke alarm, so can guarantee that was working. The second bedroom did not have much storage area. There were nice little touches like flowers and a pint of milk left which we appreciated. Across the bridge, 2mins away was the Woodbridge Inn who were helpful, dog friendly and served great food. Ironbridge was 2.5 miles walk away following the river and taking this route also lead you to the Tile museum (worth a visit). it was approximately 5 mins to drive so great to get to all the local attractions. This is the first time I have used this site but will do so again as found it easy to book and get what you expected.

Very comfortable cottage handy for all the local attractions. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants. Car parking is adequate, however it is limited as the parking area does obstruct the neighbours entrance. When we stayed it was bitterly cold and snowy, but the cottage was warm, plus the wood burner came in handy. Wifi good but poor mobile reception, saying that, there is a land line in the cottage free to use. Highly recommend the Woodbridge Inn (10 min walk from cottage).

We were met by Sally who looks after the cottage who showed us around. The cottage had a really well equipped kitchen as well as washing machine and tumble drier which really came in handy. The gas and electric were all included as well as wood for the fire. We were also left tea, coffee, milk, chocolates and flowers as a welcome gift. The only downside was a really uncomfortable sofa.
