The Old Roundhouse is a very spacious and well equipped property both inside and the outside. We were a party of 10 including 4 grandchildren. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, particularly the children who used it every day. We were left a lovely welcome pack which included a bottle of fizz and a large homemade cake. One thing to note is that there are four steps up to the property. The steps do not have a handrail and so this would be something to consider when booking, particularly if anyone has difficulty ascending and descending steps without a rail. That said, the property was lovely. It should also be noted that it is essential to use your car as it is not that easy to get anywhere on foot.

Great family base. Lovely quiet location but have to accept this leaves you a decent trip to anywhere. A few additional items would be useful such as dressing gowns for the hot tub and mirrors for drying hair. Games room and under cover parking a great addition .

Fantastic cottage, we had a large party but did not feel on top of each other as there was so much space and lots of choice of what to do, hot tub, games barn, large garden and different spaces indoors. the cottage is beautiful, all rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated.

We stayed at The Old Roundhouse as a group of 10 friends. We were greeted by a bottle of Prosecco, several bottles of beer and a Victoria sponge which was appreciated. The house itself is perfect. Plenty of space, comfortable and clean, good quality bedding and an ensuite for each bedroom. The underfloor heating was very effective and the hot tub was tucked away at the rear. it was very clean and welcoming after a days walking! If there are any downsides they are nothing to do with the actual property but more to do with location. For us it wasn't an issue as we planned to have a Tesco delivery on our arrival, which covered us for our stay. We stayed in February so a walk on an evening to to the local village wasn't really an option. Saying that, the location definately had it's benefits as you don't disturb anyone! Car parking is great with plenty of room. There are great beaches in the area and some good coastal walks. We visited Bude, Croyde, Westward Ho! and Hartland Quay. Would we stay again? That's a massive YES!
