This property is part of our English Country Cottages collection

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

Set in a rural location, yet 4 miles from a beach, guests can experience both countryside and coast from this former granary.

Lovingly converted and set on a working beef farm, this former granary offers spacious, detached accommodation for two people, just 4 miles from the coast and its sandy beaches which offer miles of unspoilt walks. Whether its a base from which to explore the east coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds, also nearby, or simply somewhere to sit and relax in front of the wood burner with a good book, The Old Granary is ideal. There are good walks and cycle routes from the door, with the coast approximately a 10-minute drive away. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is 9 miles away, with plenty of entertainment for everyone including the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. During the winter months, visit the seal pups at Donna Nook. The market town of Alford is a 10-minute drive, whilst the Georgian market town of Louth, which still has 3 markets a week, is about half an hour by car, and is always worth a visit with its many shops, local butchers and a very good selection of cafés and pubs for lunch or evening meals. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We loved everything about the cottage, every need was taken care of. Locality was perfect for a break full Of peace and quiet to recharge our batteries. Short driving distance to a lot of things to do. House was comfy, cosy and done to a very high standard. Thank you!

Very nice. Lacking WiFi and local amenities, but otherwise excellent. Would definitely recommend this in any case. The cottage itself is very nice, and the underfloor heating definitely topped it off.

A beatiful cottage, modern but regains its rustic charm. Warm and comfortable, with a well fitted kitchen. En suite is a great size, with amazing walk-in shower. Great base to visit places in Lincolnshire, as the village doesn’t have any shop or pub itself. There is a fabulous wood burning stove, which kept us toasty. We had to purchase our own kindling though to get it going. Would definitely return for a romantic break.

Great place, fully furnished and equipped lacking nothing. Finishing touches would a blinds either side of door and a blind in the bathroom. However the two seeties are well past there best.

Very nice and peaceful, added little touch with a bottle of wine and choc`s, the log burner soon got the place hot and cosy.

Beautiful conversation in the middle of nowhere (That's what we wanted) the most well equipped kitchen I've ever seen .didn't need to put any heating on as the place was nice and cosy . Only one grumble and that's the bed was too soft but that's personnel preference. Would defently stay again .

Fantastic property, beautiful conversion, can't praise it enough. We had a very relaxing stay and The Old Granary is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. A home from home and perfect for spending our 42nd wedding anniversary at. We would highly recommend this cottage. Thank you for allowing us to visit this lovely property and the countryside setting which gave us a base to visit countryside and coast

Excellent cottage. Extremely well equipped and beuatifully furnished. Lovely to come back to after a day out. Perfect for a quiet couples retreat away from it all, yet close enough to necessary shops, facilities and local attractions. Bed and sofas a little soft for our taste, but wouldn't stop us going back to stay again. Thank you for a lovely holiday cottage.
