The Old Farmhouse was booked as a 80th birthday surprise holiday for my father, my parents could not have had a more enjoyable time, cottage was well equipped and the beautiful stunning countryside added to a feeling of calm and relaxation. Whilst the owner went that extra mile and provided a birthday banner that greeted my parents on arrival. Easy travel to Hexham, Newcastle and surrounding areas - would recommend

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. It was warm, the beds were comfy. The stars were fab as was the view. There are several good pubs etc not too far away. The owner addressed a couple of plumbing issues when she was able to and responded promptly to queries. There is no enclosed garden. Surprisingly there was no initial cleaning supplies or tea towels, oven gloves etc. We had to go and buy hand soap! This is unusual and we have never stayed in a cottage where none of those basic things was provided. Especially considering the price.
