Lovely cottage with amazing views. Easy parking. Great access for walks. Well equipped and comfortable. Hot tub was a treat. Spiral stairs need care but that was mentioned in description so no complaints there!

Enjoyed our stay at The Old Boathouse which is in a lovely position and well equipped. Just one or two things could make it better. Few cleaning issues dust on shelves around the sink in the bathroom and could see a collection of dust crumbs and under the tv stand. I wasn’t on my hands and knees looking it was apparent from the sofa. The hot tub was great but a bit more privacy from walkers and cars would be better and a new bbq as the grill is very rusty. This didn’t spoil our stay we were out and about every day walking so hot tub welcome in the evening. As others have said the spiral staircase is a great feature but quite steep and narrow. With the bathroom being downstairs too it might not suit some.

Location and views are amazing. The cottage has an excellent kitchen and a Lounge diner, which is really nice. There is a spiral staircase to the bedrooms which is very narrow steep and does not feel very secure, which we found awkward to use, and would be very difficult for anyone with any mobility issues to use. The beds are only 15 inches off the floor which again made getting and out of bed very awkward. The bathroom toilet shower is downstairs, the shower was not very clean, the gap between the sliding door and the fixed pane was filthy which I spent 20 minutes cleaning and from the amount of gunk I flushed out, clearly had not be cleaned for some time. The toilet seat was too small for the pan and the underneath was stained and unpleasant. The shaving light over the sink did not work. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, 3 this year already, and paid less for far superior accommodation.
