Foundry Arch is a unique, shepherd’s-hut-inspired hideaway for two in the heart of Bellingham. Solidly built from brick and mortar, it offers the cosy character of a glamping escape with the added warmth, comfort and protection of a permanent building.
Inside, the wood-clad walls curve around the arched ceiling, creating a snug and atmospheric space. The open-plan layout includes a comfortable sofa and Smart TV, alongside a compact kitchen equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge with an ice box. A cosy double bed is tucked into a snug sleeping area at the rear, while a separate bathroom has a shower.
Outside, a private hot tub for two provides the perfect place to relax after exploring Northumberland. One pet is welcome, so your four-legged companion can join the adventure. Guests can also use the shared outdoor area with its fire pit, as well as an on-site communal utility room with clothes-washing facilities.
Foundry Arch is situated in Bellingham, a traditional village on the edge of Northumberland National Park. The dog-friendly tap room is next door, serving locally brewed beers, ciders, wines, soft drinks and bar snacks.
The village offers a selection of welcoming pubs, cafés, restaurants and takeaways, including dog-friendly places to stop after a countryside walk. Local shops, a bakery, butcher and supermarket are also within easy reach.
Walkers can follow the nearby woodland trail to Hareshaw Linn, an impressive waterfall surrounded by wildlife-rich scenery. Riverside paths, cycling routes and sections of the Pennine Way provide further opportunities to explore.
Golfers can enjoy a round at Bellingham Golf Club, while Kielder Water and Forest Park offers lakeside walks, cycling, watersports and fantastic stargazing. Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham and Northumberland’s Roman heritage are also accessible for memorable days out.
Whether soaking in the private hot tub, sharing drinks beside the fire pit or exploring with your dog, Foundry Arch offers a distinctive and cosy Northumberland escape.
