There was a smell in the fridge was advice a mice was found there need to get some to pull fridge out, was not very nice smell with the heat and for us to put our food in during the holiday. A rude note was left under a flower pot was not happy about it as it said what the f leave it alone, cannot believe it a sharp spike was left in the garden and our little dogs or grandchildren could of hurt there self's, so we moved it and got this note left for us, so rude cannot believe it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Regarding the smell in the fridge this was due to there being a bottle top over the drain hole so the fridge couldn’t defrost properly which was making the evaporator plate get hot and to smell a bit. On the subject of the sharp object this was a mole trap set in the ground covered by a flowerpot and weighted down. This was not in the cottage garden but by the fence to the vegetable garden next to the cottage. This mole trap had been pulled out of the ground and hurled into the polytunnel in the veg garden damaging seeds and a potting table. The Lady that has the veg garden reset the trap in another spot covered by flowerpot etc. and I understand the note was pushed in the ground with the trap to deter anyone pulling it up again. Unfortunately upon departure the property was found to have been left in an unsatisfactory condition which therefore required extra cleaning.

Lovely Cottage in a quiet rural location. Great picturesque walks in the locality easy access to the Coast and Lincoln if needed. Delightful welcome pack and the cottage is very well equipped. We were extremely lucky with the weather so the gas BBQ was heavily used - superb fresh meat and Sour Dough Bread from the owners own shop in Louth. Yes the ceilings are low in places and the stairs are narrow but this is a cottage after all ! Great find - you won't be disappointed !

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Very nice welcome pack and lemon drizzle cake on arrival. Very thoughtful. Lovely village. Great views from cottage. We had a great week and the weather was perfect for walks. My husband banged his head a few times on the low door ways but they are advised in description and he does it at home in our cottage. Only down side was lovely big garden but not enclosed. Got Bull, cows and cute calf’s on one side and sheep on another. We had our 3 Yorkshire Terriers with us. One we had to keep on long lead in garden just in case (rescue) but our other 2 were fine but had to keep close eye. Freezer was full of home made meals (meat) and adverts for a shop in Louth. My husband purchased a few to try at home. (I don’t eat meat). Very nice property and I would recommend.

We had a really enjoyable week in a pretty and well equipped cottage whilst enjoying a tranquil and beautiful location. The owners left a welcome pack that was much appreciated. In particular the lemon drizzle cake and plum loaf were delicious.
