The open-plan kitchen, dining-room and living room all enjoy views of the estuary. Ideally situated close to many of the tourist attractions this area has to offer, including Padstow, with its many interesting shops, array of pubs and restaurants and quaint harbour. From here visitors can hire a cycle and ride the Camel Trail where there is an abundance of wildlife. Shop 3 miles, pub 1½ miles.

    Second visit, leaving a wild meadow in a good percentage of garden,spoilt it slightly,as no way of getting to the bottom of the property to get nearer to estuary views

    We loved staying at the LINHAY and would gladly go back. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the facilities (including items provided such as dishwasher, crockery etc.) was all sufficient for our needs. Garden was great for the dogs, fully enclosed although my Lurcher could probably jump the fence if she tried so we had to be careful with livestock in the next field! The shower and toilet were very clean and presentable and the pressure was ok but I would install a power pump for that extra pressure if it was my property - probably personal prefrence though! Plenty of good walks and access to the camel trail either by car or walking, no shops or anything within walking distance but the supermarkets deliver.

    Fabulous location and great property. So close to the Camel Trail and Padstow being a comfortable walking distance of 3k a definite advantage. View across the Estuary beautiful. Would definitely recommend this property.

    Do not stay at this cottage if you have any trouble walking. My husband has a quad walking stick and needs a flat surface to use to walk. The front of the house has loose stone shingles so he could not take one step. If you go in via the grass at the back of the property it's a rolling slope and again not flat. It took us 90 minutes to get him in the property and we there fore barely left it the whole stay which ruined our holiday. Once inside the cottage wasn't perfect. Flat with a walk in shower. Loads of room and the garden on the patio accessible to us because it was flat. The property also says it comes with a fully fenced garden but there are two gates and one in particular has a massive gap at the bottom and next door has no gate so my dog kept running straight under it. When I left the cottage by myself I came back to find him in the lanes outside. One more minute and my dog would have been gone forever as my husband couldn't get him back as he couldn't get out of the property. It was a shame as we paid a lot of money and the cottage itself was lovely. In fact nicer than the pictures show it. A simple path to the house and something below the gates would have made this a wonderful holiday instead of a disaster.

    Response on behalf of the owner. We were disappointed to see your comments regarding access to the property. Whilst it is a flat approach from the parking to the front door the gravel path is clearly shown in the property photographs on the website. Since access was obviously an issue we were surprised enquiries weren't made prior to booking. We are sorry your holiday was such a disaster .
