We're a group of four families who meet up every year and it's hard to find accommodation big enough as the kids get older. The Hill Coachouse met our needs brilliantly and is nicer than it looks in the photos. It's a huge property with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, two big sitting rooms, plus a large games room (table tennis, snooker, darts, table football) and tennis court to keep everyone entertained. Even if it had rained all weekend, we would have been fine but we were lucky to have dry weather and spent lots of time in the gardens and having drinks/bbq on the terrace. The kitchen is on the small side but well equipped with lots of glasses, plates, cutlery, dishwasher tablets, etc. (Tip: keep the kitchen door shut and windows open when cooking as the smoke alarm is right outside!) Previous reviews mentioned lack of fridge space, but there is now an extra fridge provided downstairs. During our stay we visited Conkers (always a favourite!), went kayaking with Trent Adventure (highly recommend) and walked along the nearby canal path. We had a great time and have already booked to come back next year.
