You will find Cheglinch Farm tucked away in a sheltered field on a family run dairy farm, in picturesque North Devon. Nestled in the countryside, it is a perfect place to get away from it all, relax and connect with nature. You may be lucky enough to meet the local pheasant family, visiting deer and owls. In addition, the small areas of marshland, within the eco-friendly field, are fabulous at attracting many different species of birds and insects.
Within a 10–20-minute drive you will be on the doorsteps of the incredible beaches at Woolacombe, Saunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe. Any beach enthusiast will surely find a pleasurable day, whether it be surfing or sunbathing!
The Green Fold is set on a wooden standing within its own distinct area in a 4-acre field. The tent will comfortably sleep 4 on proper beds and mattresses (1 double, 2 singles) made up ready for your arrival. Children will love the cow themed duvet covers! There is room for an additional child on a smaller, pull out mattress but please bring your own bedding (if you wish to bring your own small inflatable bed and bedding instead you can do so).
A modern wood burning stove found just outside the tent will keep you warm on colder evenings, but is also useful for cooking. Fairy lights and battery powered tea lights within the tent provide the perfect tranquil lighting for a relaxing stay.
You have access to your own covered outdoor kitchen area equipped with a gas barbecue, as well as cooking equipment and crockery. An outdoor seating area is also provided.
Those wanting a more authentic camping experience will enjoy the fire pit provided, perfect for toasting marshmallows!
There is no electric provision within the tent allowing you to switch off from the outside world, although electricity is available in the play barn if you really can’t leave your mobile behind!
