A beautiful cottage with great views and road links, on the border of the Lake District National Park.

Ground Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize four-poster bed, door leading to garden, and en-suite with bath, shower attachment and toilet.
Bedroom 2: With super kingsize bed, door leading to garden, and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
Separate toilet.

First Floor:
Open plan living space: With wooden floor.
Living area: With multi-fuel burner, Freeview TV (limited reception) and beams.
Dining area: With French doors leading to terrace.
Kitchen area: With electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine.

Oil underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for multi-fuel burner included. Stables with freezer and tumble dryer (shared).

Large lawned garden with patio. Balcony. Stabling for horses, £8 per day. No smoking. Please note: This property has a security deposit of £100.

The most spacious of three properties in this beautiful working farm location the Granary is finished to a truly excellent standard. The owner’s fascination with antiques and woodwork is evident throughout and have helped create a unique high class finish. With superb luxurious en-suites for both bedrooms and fabulous antique beds (including a four-poster) this is the place to relax and unwind in style. The sociable, open plan living area upstairs is designed to make the most of the wonderful views. There is even a large balcony, overlooking the spacious garden, where everyone can gather and watch the sun set over the hills. When you are ready to retreat back indoors a log burning sets off this room perfectly creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.

Stables are available for guests horses and there is easy access to plenty of bridleways. Keen fishermen will enjoy the challenge of encountering 24lb ‘High Thorn Henry’ whilst others guests find the lake offers a delightful picnic spot from which to enjoy the fishing as a spectator sport! One day free mixed coarse fishing at the owners fishing lake is included in your stay too. Extra days can also be arranged. Easily accessed by the M6 and only 5 minutes from Kendal it is an ideal location for exploring the near by fells, lakes and towns. The popular towns of Sedbergh and Kendal are both within easy reach. Sedbergh, a quaint old market town, sits on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Full of character with cobbled streets and historic buildings, Sedbergh is known as The Book Town and offers a treasure trove of second hand and collectors books. Kendal, close by and the Gateway to The Lakes, offers something for everyone. This historic market town is home to an eclectic mix of independent retailers, cosy pubs, international restaurants and pavement cafes.

Beautiful stunning cottage. Enjoyed every minute of it and was definitely a home from home experience. Would absolutely book it again!!

Fabulous accommodation and would definitely recommend it. Be prepared to use the car as the Granary is on a working farm which is out in the country. Amazing views from the balcony and we all loved watching the various birds wandering around.

We enjoyed our stay. The granary is a few miles outside Kendall and, for us, a perfect mix of isolation and being within striking distance of Kendall, the lakes and Grange over Sands. The property was well equipped and generally comfortable. Though the floorboards were noisy and because it is a farm, we were bothered by flies, we would return.
