Whitehall occupies an elevated position on the east side of Whitby, with the harbour stretching out below. From here, a scenic stroll alongside the water leads you towards the heart of town, passing traditional pubs and tempting fish and chip shops along the way.
For those arriving by car, The Genoa Suite has its own designated parking bay – a particularly welcome feature in this popular seaside destination.
External steps lead up to the grand communal entrance hall of Whitehall, where chandeliers, period furniture and paintings reflect the history and elegance of this impressive Georgian building. Guests can also discover information about Whitehall’s past before following the internal staircase to the landing and the entrance to The Genoa Suite.
Step inside and you’ll find a wonderfully spacious living area where period character is complemented by bold, contemporary styling. The large bay window provides an inviting setting for the dining area, creating a lovely spot to gather together over breakfast or an evening meal.
The striking red kitchen brings a splash of colour to the room and is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. After a day exploring Whitby, settle back on one of the two sofas, switch on the gas fire and relax in front of the Smart TV.
Looking down over the main living space is a characterful mezzanine, reached via its own staircase. This additional lounge area features a sofa bed which can accommodate an extra guest, as well as providing another cosy corner in which to relax.
Also on the first floor is the convenience of a separate WC. A desk positioned in the hallway provides a dedicated workspace for anyone who needs to catch up on emails or work remotely during their stay.
