Lovely, comfortable cottage with everything that you could want for your stay. Rebecca made me feel very welcome. There was a problem with the electricity when I arrived but it was dealt with really smoothly and I am sure that Rebecca would have made sure that I was fed and watered if they hadn't been able to fix it. There are so many lovely walks in the area, many direct from the cottage without having to use a car, and the descriptions by Rebecca and Phil are first class - really easy to follow. There is a reasonable choice of shops for everyday needs in Knighton, about 4 miles away.

Excellent location. Located nicely away (but not to far) from the hustle and bustle of the nearby towns. Easy walking distance to the nearby pub, The Castle at Knucklas. Property very clean, very helpful host and access to a peaceful seated area by the river. You need fly repellent. Excellent views and wild live.

We had a wonderful week at The Garden Lodge and came back totally refreshed. The owner Phil was so kind and helpful but did not intrude in any way. He lets guests go into his own garden and sit by the river which runs at the bottom of it and we spent several hours doing just that. The property has everything you could need and the guides to walks and local attractions which the owners have put together are really helpful. There is also a pub - The Castle - in the next village (Knucklas) which serves excellent food They were really friendly and the service there was excellent also. It takes about 25 minutes to walk there at a leisurely pace. The cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing time away. We will definitely be going again.
