With accommodation for up to 6 guests in king, double, and twin rooms, The Driftwood Cabin boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, complemented by original features such as natural stonework, exposed beams, and a wood-burning stove. Upstairs, there are two front bedrooms – the king with an en-suite shower room, double room, and the twin room towards the back with two single beds. A well-fitted bathroom with a separate shower completes the upper level.
You’ll find all modern amenities to make your stay comfortable, including a 50" smart flat-screen TV, Blu Ray DVD player, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing-machine/tumble-dryer.
Explore the nearby picturesque village of Hawes, Yorkshire’s highest market town, renowned for its artisan shops, good pubs, restaurants, and the famous Wensleydale Cheese. Its name means ‘pass between the mountains,’ and it does indeed nestle between Fleet Moss at 1900 feet and Buttertubs Pass at 1726 feet. Wensleydale is a walker’s dream with glorious walks to suit everyone from a gentle stroll by the river to tackling the Pennine Way. The cottage is an ideal base for walking or touring, and there are many ancient castles, abbeys, fine country houses, and tiny village churches to visit.
Outside, there is a flagged patio/barbecue area, and the grass paddock is a wonderful play area for children. One well-behaved dog is welcome at the cottage at a cost of £30 per week.
