The Cow stall is a lovely country break location for 2 and a dog. The Field outside is handy for playing fetch and the Weald Way is on the doorstep. The cottage is small and the bedroom area takes a little getting used to, but although compact the cottage is well furnished, equipped and comfortable. The Blackboy pub is excellent and about a 20 minute walk or 5 in the car. Uckfield is easily accessible and about a 15 minute drive. All in all we would recommend, but be aware of the height restriction especially in the galleried bedroom.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cow Stall, even if (perhaps) the depths of the winter didn't show it off (esp the patio) at its best. Two people could have a nice, and very cosy holiday there.

The only negative issue concerning the cottage was the restricted room in the bedroom area although it is referred to in the advertising material. Otherwise, it was lovely and ideal for sunbathing au naturel something which perhaps ought to be mentioned on the website.

Very cosy and comfortable cottage for one person but room for two. A bit isolated but lovely rural views. Very quiet and peaceful. No one around at all!

We took our two retrievers to the Cowstall again and they certainly enjoyed the extensive field to run around. There is another field next to the school at Framfield a couple of miles away and the wood opposite the pub, a mere ten minutes' walk away. An ideal place for you and your dogs. The owner is always on hand to assist if necessary. We will be staying here again, this will be our fifth stay.
